Agnes Elizabeth Jones, Memorial (11)
Epitaph (3),  by the Bishop of Derry.

Picture taken on Tuesday 05/07/2002, donated by Pat Neill

Inscription:
"THE MASTER IS COME AND CALLETH FOR THEE."

ST JOHN XI.26.

ALONE WITH CHRIST IN THIS SEQUESTERED PLACE,
THY SWEET SOUL LEARNED ITS QUIETUDE OF GRACE;
ON SUFFERERS WAITING IN THIS VALE OF OURS,
THY GIFTED HAND WAS TRAINED FOR FINER POWER.
THEREFORE WHEN DEATH, O AGNES, CAME TO THEE,
NOT IN THE COOL BREATH OF THE SILVER SEA,
IN THE CITY HOSPITAL'S HOT WARD_
A GENTLE WORKER FOR THE GENTLE LORD_
PROUDLY, AS MEN HEROIC ASHES CLAIM,
WE ASKED TO HAVE THY FEVER STRICKEN FRAME,
AND LAY IN OUR GRASS, BESIDE THE FOAM,
TILL CHRIST THE HEALER CALL HIS HEALERS HOME.
