Yates's
Bold St, Liverpool L1

A building with an asymmetrical facade, presently occupied by Yates's bar. It is the gargoyles at 2nd and 3rd floor level which entertain. Across the Bold Street frontage there are four half man - half beast gargoyles, to my mind, from left to right; a goat, a dog, a fish and a ram, though you may disagree. Harder to identify are a further 28 gargoyles on the Concert Street elevation which surely include a monkey, a lion and a pig.
