This next stage shows the chicken completely covered in clay. 'This is very much the ugly duckling stage' - More clay will be applied (roughing out), working completely around the whole sculpture, so that all sides are on a similar level of sculpting. Eventually it will get to a stage so that it looks like the horse, albeit in a 'rough' stage.
